The Woods
The woodlot is located on Hemenway Hill, approximately 600’± northwest of Hemenway Road, which is a a Class III gravel surfaced town owned and maintained road. Interior logging roads and trails.Total area is approximately 30± acres (per the Town of Bridport) at the top of an area known as “Hemenway Hill.” The property is landlocked with historic access for logging purposes from the north end over the lands owned by Eric Denu.
Our Woodlot is a unique property with exceptionally high quality volume and value of standing timber with a high
percentage of sugar maple and veneer.
“Tree vigor is good to very good, site quality is exceptional” per Forester Ben Campbell.
Good soil site.
Timber Resources:
The quality of the timber cruise is considered good with 20 sample points on 30± acres.
The property had a cruise/valuation by Ben Campbell dated November 6, 2014, updated in 2017.
Mr. Campbell has been a forester in Addison County since 1994. His comments of this parcel are:

Predominant timber species include sugar maple, red oak, beech, bitternut hickory and shagbark
hickory. Some maple and red oak veneer.
Logging conditions at the site are favorable with mostly downhill skids and a short distance to log truck road access. The land is 100% operable.
SOILS:
Quality soil site. Areas of maiden hair fern noted. Predominant soils per NRCS are: Farmington
extremely rocky silt of 20% to 50% slopes; Farmington stony silt loam of 25% to 50% slopes, with
smaller amounts of Farmington-Nellis rocky complex of 12% to 20% slopes, Vergennes clay of 12%
to 25% slopes and Farmington-Nellis rocky complex of 20% to 30% slopes
