The Barns

The main 1½ story conventional dairy barn was constructed in 1947 and the 1 story addition to the north was constructed in 1967.  There is overhead hay storage in the 1½ story section. The milkhouse was constructed in 1947.

 

Roofing is gambrel and Quonset metal. Siding is concrete block and novelty. Concrete floors.  

 

Various dimensions include a 1½ story barn: 4,680sf, 1 story barn: 3,600sf and milkhouse: 580sf. 250 gallon milkhouse wastewater holding tank system.

​Extensive concrete barnyard area located to the east of the main barn. It includes a concrete feed bunker area and a manure push- off section. Size is 12,000±sf. Five concrete stave silos and metal grain bins. Earthen manure lagoon located north of the main dairy barn. Constructed in 1986.

The Young Cattle barn was originally constructed in 1850 with additions made through 1950. Total size is 5,200sf.  There is hay storage on the second level.

Gable metal roofing, novelty siding, concrete and dirt flooring.

 

There is 1 story chicken coop is 240sf and the 1 story shed is 98sf.
